A condensing unit is the heat-rejection assembly of a refrigeration system — a compressor and a condenser packaged together, optionally with a liquid receiver and oil separator. It compresses refrigerant vapour and rejects heat to either air or water before sending liquid refrigerant to the evaporator.
Praj manufactures both air-cooled and water-cooled condensing units. Air-cooled units are simpler to install; water-cooled units are more energy-efficient in hot, humid Indian climates and at larger capacities. Compressor options: Copeland, Bitzer, Frascold.

Which compressor brands do you use?
Praj integrates Copeland (scroll & semi-hermetic), Bitzer (reciprocating & screw), and Frascold compressors. Brand chosen based on capacity, refrigerant and customer preference.
Which refrigerants are supported?
R404A, R22, R134a, R407C and ammonia. HFC blends for smaller commercial-scale units; ammonia for large industrial plants.
Should I choose air-cooled or water-cooled?
Up to 30 TR or in dry climates, air-cooled is usually sufficient. Above 30 TR or in hot/humid coastal climates, water-cooled is 15–25% more efficient.
What is the warranty?
12 months on the complete unit. Compressor warranty follows OEM (typically 12–24 months from manufacturer).
