Praj liquid receiver tank for ammonia refrigeration system — IS 2825 tested

Liquid Receiver Tank Manufacturer India

Praj Refrigeration Industries manufactures high-quality Liquid Receiver Tanks designed to store liquid refrigerant in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. Our receiver tanks ensure safe and efficient system operation by accommodating varying load conditions and preventing liquid slugging in the compressor.

Features

Feature Description
High Strength Built with industrial-grade MS IS-2062 for durability.
Safety Tested Stringent pressure testing up to required safety standards.
Capacity Ranges Customizable capacity options to match any system size.
Corrosion Resistant Special coatings and paint for longevity in harsh environments.

A liquid receiver tank is a pressure vessel that stores liquid refrigerant downstream of the condenser in an industrial refrigeration system. It provides a reservoir for the thermostatic expansion valve and acts as a buffer during system load changes, ensuring stable refrigerant flow.

Praj liquid receiver tanks are pressure-tested per IS 2825 (Indian Standard for unfired pressure vessels) and ASME Section VIII Division 1. Compatible refrigerants: R404A, R22, and ammonia (NH3).

Capacity ranges from 50 litres for small commercial systems to 5,000 litres for industrial plants. All receivers ship with sight glass, level switch, pressure relief valve and rotalock service valves as standard.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What refrigerants are Praj receiver tanks compatible with?

R404A, R22, and ammonia (NH3). Material grade and valve type vary per refrigerant — ammonia tanks use steel valves and low-temperature carbon steel; HFC tanks use rotalock/brass valves and standard carbon steel.

What is the design pressure of Praj receiver tanks?

Design pressure is 25 bar for HFC (R404A/R22) systems and 28 bar for ammonia systems. Hydro-test pressure is 1.5× design pressure as per IS 2825.

Are the tanks IS 2825 / ASME compliant?

Yes. All Praj liquid receiver tanks are designed and tested per IS 2825 (Indian Standard for unfired pressure vessels) and ASME Section VIII Division 1 where required.

What capacity range do you manufacture?

50 litres to 5,000 litres. Standard sizes are stocked; custom capacities are manufactured to order in 4–6 weeks.

What fittings come standard?

Sight glass for liquid level visibility, level switch for low-level alarm, spring-loaded pressure relief valve, rotalock (HFC) or steel (NH3) service valves, and mounting saddles.

Do you provide test certificates?

Yes. Hydro-test certificate, material test report and dimensional inspection report ship with every tank.
