A screw conveyor for ice is a stainless-steel auger that transports ice horizontally or at a gentle incline. Praj manufactures screw conveyors in SS 304 and SS 316 construction with flight diameters from 100 mm to 400 mm, sized to match ice plant TPD output.
Drive options: SEW Eurodrive and Bonfiglioli gearmotors. Bearing housings are sealed for ice-water exposure. Trough is fully welded SS for food-grade applications.

What diameter screw conveyor do I need?
Match to your ice plant TPD: 100 mm for 1–3 TPD, 150 mm for 5 TPD, 200 mm for 10 TPD, 250 mm for 20 TPD, 300 mm for 35 TPD, 400 mm for 50+ TPD.
SS 304 or SS 316 construction?
SS 304 is standard for inland installations. SS 316 is recommended for coastal/marine atmospheres and high-chloride-water applications.
Can the conveyor be inclined?
Yes. Praj screw conveyors operate up to 30° incline with standard flight pitch. Steeper inclines (up to 45°) use reduced-pitch flights with corresponding capacity reduction.
What is the maximum length?
Standard single-section length is up to 6 metres. Longer runs use multiple coupled sections, each with its own drive.
Is the conveyor food-grade?
Yes. All contact parts are SS 304 or SS 316 with welded trough construction. No bolt-on parts in the ice path. Suitable for FSSAI / EU food-contact requirements.
What drive brands do you use?
SEW Eurodrive (default) and Bonfiglioli on request. Both are integrated with SIEMENS / DELTA PLC for VFD control.
